Who are you and what are you responsible for?
My name is Christian, I am the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of illucIT Software. I originally come from Kahl am Main near Aschaffenburg and have been living in Würzburg for 10 years by now. I work at illucIT Software as a project manager and developer. On top of that, I also take care of general tasks like accounting and administration of our IT-systems. One of my typical tasks is taking care of the communication with our customers and analyzing their requirements. Furthermore, I am responsible for planning software architectures and I am actively supporting our team implementing the software afterwards. Besides that, I am also handling some organizational tasks and support our customers as a consultant.
What is your professional background?
I studied computer science in Würzburg and after finishing my studies I continued working as a research assistant at the university. That's also where I met Sebastian and we already started working on projects together. We quickly realized that we work great together and later on decided to start a business. Logical thinking and math have always been easy to me. Since my early ages I have enjoyed working with computers and liked solving abstract problems. This requires some kind of creativity and keeps the work interesting for me.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
What I like the most about my work is designing the architecture of a new software. It is fascinating to me to think about how a system should work and how to build it afterwards. I enjoy the process of exchanging ideas with other developers and learning new things from them. What I also appreciate is the freedom and flexibility at illucIT Software in comparison with working at other companies.
